Join us as we wish a Bon Voyage to Paul & Devon – They’re moving to Germany in a few weeks and this will be the last concert in this area for awhile…

Charlottesville musician,  producer, guitar master, and husband to Devon Sproule, Paul Curreri returns to the Listening Room stage! “Such a fluent fingerpicker that he’s free of all convention or blues device, grooving and improvising all over the place. …And truth be told,  there’s hardly a stanza not worth quoting.”  His latest release, California, has been generating rave reviews: Uncut magazine gave it four stars; and MOJO described the album as “13 intimate, luminously produced tracks, and his multi-instrumental skills consistently impress…at their best, give (Dylan, Joe Henry, and Springsteen) a run for their money.”
It’s his first album in three years, the result of having to take over 15 months off  when major throat surgery took him off the road and out of the recording studio… it was a long wait for all his fans but thankfully Paul’s now back to touring and to amazing old fans and new. Visit his website:

Born to hippie parents on a commune in Kingston, Ontario, Sproule claims dual citizenship with both Canada and the US. After moving between private, public and home schooling, she eventually left high school, recorded her first record, and began touring nationally — all before the age of eighteen. Now married (to Paul Curreri) and 4 cd’s later, she brings  her listeners “Infectious Appalachian stomp with jazz shadings.  Sproule’s voice is an elastic instrument of old-school soul, recalling anyone from Sara Carter to Patsy Cline.” — Uncut
