Alabama native Edward Hartline has been playing the guitar and writing songs since he was 11 years old.  His energetic 2009 YouTube cover of Bobby Long’s ‘Who Have You Been Loving?’ caught the artist’s attention and prompted a shout out from Bobby on Twitter, which resulted in over 1000 views of the video in the first 3 days it was online. Edward’s original music has captured an internet fan base which has spread from the U.S. to Canada, Chile, India, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and the UK.  With a voice and a vision that belie his youth, Edward weaves emotional pictures of love, loss, and life that cross all borders.  His sound has been compared to Bobby Long, Sam Bradley, Marcus Foster, Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash. A fan challenge was launched through Twitter to increase his MySpace plays from 760 to 1500 over the course of a month; it was achieved in a mere six days.  The fans were rewarded with a demo EP, ‘Lagniappe’, recorded in his bedroom.  These six songs tap into the joys and trials of relationships and what keeps us going back for more. Edward has been one of the most requested artists on FearlessRadio.com, an internet station based in Chicago.  His song ‘Adrenaline Blues’ took the number 6 spot for the debut of the Fearless Five show (4/3/2010).  A second song, ‘Your Name’, debuted at number 9.  Both songs reached number 2, and remained in the Top 25 for over six months.  A third song, ‘You’re To Blame’, is now in rotation. Currently, Edward is writing songs and playing locally.  He has also been working on his first album.
