Always entertaining, this group of young area musicians brings together a tight fusion of Jazz, Soul, and Americana like you’ve never heard before! After playing locally for several years, both together and with various groups around Richmond, siblings Allyson and Curtis Mills, along with mandolin player Chris Hale, thought they might be on to something when they began blending the sounds of old time, bluegrass and folk with jazz and soul. The acoustic nature of the trio made for an eclectic sound. When saxophone player Samson Trinh began sitting in from time to time, the feeling of anticipation only grew. Drums (Andy Brockmann) and bass (AC&T frequent flyer Rusty Farmer) were then added to bring the band together to form the band that’s fast becoming a Richmond favorite! Samson has left the group, but Richmond sax-man Roger Carroll joins the mix.

…and opening this show: The parents of David Mayfield of “The David Mayfield Parade”, and Jessica Lea Mayfield – David Lee & Valerie are also fine musicians!
