Skillful picking and expert three-part harmonies are just part of what you can expect from the Whiskey Rebellion, who have been plying their brand of high-energy acoustic music across the Southeast (and as far west as the Pacific Ocean) for the last eight years. Drawing on their diverse musical backgrounds, The Whiskey Rebellion mix the spontaneity of bluegrass, the collectiveness of jazz, and the urgency of rock and roll to create their own unique take on everything from traditional bluegrass to anthemic party favorites. The band covers a wide array of artists ranging from The Beatles to The Talking Heads to Guns ‘n’ Roses, but their approach is always steeped in their acoustic roots and uniquely lends itself...

Miss Shevaughn & Yuma Wray is a Cosmic Alt-Country, psych folk band from California, Washington D.C. and all of the highways and back roads in between. “What do you call homesick for tour? Away sick?” asks drummer Ben Tufts. Travel is in their blood. The group has played hundreds of shows cross-country including their “Honeymoon Tour” following the marriage of the two lead singers. The music is a pure expression, unfettered by commercial expectations. It is manifested by an unusual cast of characters, each a songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist. Miss Shevaughn & Yuma Wray’s two self produced albums, “We’re From Here” and “Lean Into the Wind”, were critically acclaimed as strange, beautiful, and powerful. NPR’s Sound Opinions featured “Lean Into the Wind” as a buried treasure and the song “Blue Dream” from that record, was included on Greg Kot’s end of the year mix-tape   Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 the day of the performance Show...
