Mark has been writing and performing his songs since 1974. As an original member of Tennessee Flying Goose, one of Washington DC’s top bluegrass bands of the 70s, Mark and his mates blended Beatle-ish pop with traditional bluegrass and concocted a harmonic one-two punch that still resonates today. In the early 80s, the chiming sound of McGuinn’s 12-string led Mark to L.A. where he and his new band mixed originals with Gram Parsons and Doug Sahm songs and played some of the coolest clubs in Hollywood. Although he never really let it go, he “controlled” his craft for a couple of decades while raising a family in the 90s and early 00s. In 2010, Mark reconnected with “the girl of his dreams” moved to Williamsburg, and now sings about it with a dozen or so songs that tell the story of love lost and then found, and the mystery of it all. And of course a little Bossa Nova thrown in for good measure.
